AVOIDING PESKY CARS ALONG THE WAY, // THAT'S CITY LIFE IN WORK OR PLAY // APPLIED TO YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD // WHERE ROUTINELY YOUR CONCERNS HAVE STOOD.

When you cross the street, be very careful.
Gulp in your mouth a tense airful
till you make it to the other side
and then you can regain your normal stride
and take your casual thoughts on an inner ride
and you restore your bunch of priorities,
planning what to do as your life proceeds
into the realm of your active deeds
lying before you in the future
for whose safety you made sure
when you cross every street with a green light
to keep your head free of abnormal fright.
Safety is your first priority.
Then all proceeds without alacrity.
After all, this is a big city
even if it seems so small to you
with a neighborhood vision
to narrow it down to your needs of precision.
Go along, street by street
at a casual pace normal for you
in your friendly eyes of brown or blue.
